Professor Ayumi Shintani is an esteemed academic in the field of clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, currently serving as an Endowed Professor and Chair at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. She has a strong focus on observational studies, health services research, and statistical education.With over 190 peer-reviewed publications to her name, Professor Shintani has made significant contributions to medical research. During her tenure at Vanderbilt University, she was recognized as an award-winning lecturer, teaching the Master of Science in Clinical Research course for a decade to aspiring physician scientists. Additionally, she played a vital role in securing more than 60 NIH grant awards while at Vanderbilt.

Dr. Masayuki Miyasaka, M.D., Ph.D., serves as a Guest Professor at the Immunology Frontier Research Center at Osaka University and is also a FiDiPro Professor at the Academy of Finland. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying lymphocyte trafficking into various tissues and tumor metastasis in vivo. Key areas of his work include the physiological recruitment of lymphocytes and dendritic cells to secondary lymphoid tissues and the functions and regulation of intercellular adhesion molecules and chemokines. Dr. Miyasaka's findings are expected to contribute to the development of novel treatments for immune-related diseases, including cancer.
