Dr. Michiya Matsusaki received his Ph.D. degree in 2003 from Kagoshima University and began his academic career as a postdoctoral fellow at Osaka University in the same year. He joined the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka University as an Assistant Professor in 2006, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015, and became a full professor in 2019. In addition to his academic roles, he has served as a JST-PRESTO researcher concurrently from 2008 to 2011 and again from 2015 to the present.Dr. Matsusaki has received 18 awards throughout his career and has published over 150 papers, accumulating a total of 4,457 citations with an h-index of 38. His research interests include the dynamics of chemical intermediates at the nanometer scale, particularly within organic and organic-inorganic hybrid materials. Through his work, he aims to advance the understanding of these materials' properties and their applications in various fields.
