Assistant Professor at Osaka University
Dr. Sastia Prama Putri is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University. She received her B.Sc. degree in 2004 from Bandung Institute of Technology in Indonesia and completed her M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees at Osaka University in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In recognition of her outstanding research on coffee metabolomics, she was awarded the L’Oreal Award for Women in Science in 2015.Before her current role, Dr. Putri conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow and has since been instrumental in establishing research partnerships with local and international companies. Her work focuses on the large-scale analysis of metabolites in plants and food products, employing various techniques in spectroscopy, spectrometry, purification, and statistical analyses. Dr. Putri's contributions to the field have garnered significant attention, including her involvement in groundbreaking research on Kopi Luwak, the world’s most expensive coffee.
