Adalto Barbaceia Gonçalves: Esteemed Finance Professor and Consultant
Adalto Barbaceia Gonçalves is a distinguished finance professor at Insper, holding a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from FGV. He has served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign and earned an MBA in Finance and Econometric Models from UCLA's Anderson School of Management, along with a degree in Civil Engineering from USP's Polytechnic School. Since 2005, he has taught finance, economics, and control at Insper across undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs. His professional experience includes developing decision-support models and structuring hedging and derivatives for Itaú S/A's treasury. Additionally, he founded Axioma Informática, a pioneer in financial software development in Brazil, and has provided consulting and executive training for major financial institutions such as Bradesco, Citibank, and HSBC.
