Silvio Abrahão Laban Neto has been a professor at Insper since 2004, specializing in Marketing. He holds a degree in Naval Engineering from Poli-USP (1985), a specialization in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV (1997), and a Ph.D. in Administration with an emphasis on Marketing from EAESP-FGV (2004). Before his academic career, he spent over 19 years as an executive in various service and retail organizations, including Accenture, Carrefour, Pão de Açúcar, and Wal-Mart. Silvio has received multiple accolades, such as the Best Paper Award from the ANPAD Academic Division of Marketing in 2008 for his research on sales networks. He was recognized as one of the 50 most influential IT professionals by Info Exame magazine in 2002. Additionally, he has been involved in the development and management of supply chain strategies and served as Co-President of the ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) Association in Brazil and Latin America, as well as on the Executive Committee of the Global Commerce Initiative (GCI).
