Professor at the School of Chinese as a Second Language, Peking University
Professor Xu Jingning has dedicated nearly 20 years to teaching and researching Chinese as a second language at Peking University's School of Chinese as a Second Language. She earned her Ph.D. in linguistics and applied linguistics from Peking University in 2005. Her primary research interests include linguistic theory and the teaching of Chinese grammar.Throughout her career, she has published over 30 academic papers and authored three academic books. Additionally, she has edited a Chinese grammar textbook and an advanced Chinese textbook, along with co-editing three elementary textbooks for learners of Chinese as a foreign language. Her contributions significantly enhance the field of Chinese language education, making her a respected figure in her area of expertise.

Qiao Liu currently serves as a Professor of Finance and Dean at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. He previously taught in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong, where he was tenured. Before his academic career, Liu worked at McKinsey & Company’s Asia-Pacific Corporate Finance and Strategy Practice from December 2001 to July 2003, advising multinational corporations and leading Asian companies on corporate finance and strategic issues.Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from UCLA (2000), an M.A. in International Finance from the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China (1994), and a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from Renmin University of China (1991). His primary research interests include corporate finance, empirical asset pricing models, financial markets, and the Chinese economy. He has published numerous articles in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and the Economic Journal.
