Overview
The Certification Programme in Semiconductor Technology & VLSI Chip Design, offered by TimesPro in collaboration with CCE at IISc Bangalore, is a premier 6-month executive programme preparing engineering professionals for the rapidly expanding semiconductor and chip design industry. India's National Semiconductor Mission and global fab investments are creating unprecedented demand for skilled VLSI and semiconductor engineers, and this programme directly addresses that gap. Participants engage in structured live sessions every Sunday, progressing through a curriculum covering the full stack of semiconductor engineering from sensor fundamentals and MEMS fabrication to advanced analog and digital VLSI design and Multiphysics simulation. The programme features a mandatory 3-day campus visit at IISc Bangalore, where participants gain hands-on cleanroom experience, interact with IISc faculty, and undertake capstone projects using industry-grade tools.
Why Technology & Analytics?
This programme offers participants access to one of India's most prestigious research environments through its mandatory campus immersion at IISc Bangalore. Unlike purely online courses, participants get hands-on cleanroom training on equipment such as e-beam evaporators, sputtering tools, mask aligners, and wire bonders, giving them rare practical exposure. The curriculum is co-designed with CCE-IISc, ensuring academic rigor and real-world relevance. Participants learn industry-standard simulation tools including COMSOL Multiphysics and LTSpice. The capstone project component ensures learners build portfolio-worthy work across hardware simulation, electronic module design, and VLSI chip design. With India's semiconductor ecosystem growing rapidly, graduates are positioned to contribute to India's chip design ambitions.
