Ivan Wanis Ruiz is an instructor at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies with a diverse background in finance, marketing, HR, and entrepreneurship. He has served as the official spokesperson for the 2015 PanAm Games and the 2017 Invictus Games. Passionate about communication, Ivan teaches that commanding attention as a speaker is a learned skill. He is the author of They Don’t Have to be Naked: A New Approach to Public Speaking. His classes challenge students to step out of their comfort zones and apply communication strategies in real time.

Ka Tat Tsang teaches master's courses in direct social work practice, focusing on individual counseling and group work skills, as well as a course on sexuality and sexual diversity. He also instructs a Ph.D. course on epistemology and research methods. Beyond academia, Tsang has provided extensive teaching, training, and consulting for universities, NGOs, and major corporations across various countries, including Canada, China, India, Japan, and the USA. With a background in social work and clinical psychology, he has practiced psychotherapy and counseling since the 1970s and has designed workshops on dating and interpersonal relationships for over thirty years. His scholarly interests encompass sexuality and intimacy, interpersonal and social relationships, mental health, cross-cultural work, and social science theory.

Charmaine Williams is a registered social worker and Associate Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, where she also serves as Associate Dean Academic. With over 20 years of experience in hospital and community-based mental health, Dr. Williams teaches courses on mental health, social justice, and diversity. Her research focuses on the mental health experiences of marginalized populations, including those diagnosed with schizophrenia, and access to care for lesbian, bisexual, and transgender women. Jia Lin Xie is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and Magna Professor in Management at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Since earning her Ph.D. from Concordia University in 1992, she has been a faculty member at the University of Toronto, teaching and lecturing globally, including in China, Hong Kong, and Europe. Dr. Xie’s research focuses on job design, job stress, cross-cultural organizational behavior, and knowledge management, with her work featured in prestigious journals such as Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology. As a past president of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), she is dedicated to advancing the internationalization of management knowledge.

Dr. Jonathan Kelly is the Dean’s Catalyst Professor at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) and leads the Space & Terrestrial Autonomous Robotic Systems (STARS) Laboratory. Dr. Kelly completed his Ph.D. at the University of Southern California, focusing on sensor fusion for robust robot navigation, followed by postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Karen Sihra joined Canadian Pension Plan Investments in 2018 as Director, leading enterprise-wide Inclusion and Diversity initiatives. Nicholas Provart, a professor of Plant Cyberinfrastructure and Systems Biology at the University of Toronto, earned his Ph.D. from the Free University of Berlin in 1996. After co-founding a plant biotechnology company in Germany, he joined Syngenta’s Torrey Mesa Research Institute in San Diego, where he analyzed arabidopsis gene expression. Since 2002, he has developed online bioinformatic resources like the Bio-Analytic Resource, widely used by plant researchers. His lab also tests plant stress response hypotheses. Dr. Provart has held leadership roles in bioinformatics education, genome biology programs, and international Arabidopsis research committees.

Nika Stelman, Chief of Staff at BenchSci, is an expert in design thinking and former Director of Design Strategy at Bridgeable, a renowned service design consultancy in Toronto. Kaplan's previous roles include a professorship at the Wharton School and nearly a decade as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
