Karen Sihra joined Canadian Pension Plan Investments in 2018 as Director, leading enterprise-wide Inclusion and Diversity initiatives. With a PhD from the University of Toronto, where she researched barriers and solutions to inclusion, Karen previously held senior roles at a major bank, culminating in leadership of Women in Leadership and Business diversity efforts. She has taught courses on diversity and ethics and published work on democracy and social change. Karen’s passion extends to community volunteering, focusing on creating opportunities for others and fostering inclusivity.
