Finn Valentin Advances Biotech Innovation and Research at Copenhagen Business School
Finn Valentin is a professor at Copenhagen Business School, where he leads the Research Centre on Biotech Business. He also directs the MSc programs in Innovation in Healthcare and BioBusiness and Innovation. His research focuses on innovation in science-based firms, particularly in biotech and healthcare. His publications in international journals explore topics like intellectual property rights (IPR), venture capital, academic entrepreneurship, and innovation systems. His work is funded by various research councils and the EU. Finn has been a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard and a Research Fellow at the European University Institute. He has held leadership roles at both Copenhagen University and CBS, and served on numerous advisory committees and boards, including those for the Danish Building Research Institute, Risø National Laboratory, and the EU.
Senior Researcher in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
Federico De Masi is a Senior Researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating data and computing infrastructure for the DIRECT project, a significant pan-European initiative focused on diabetes research. With a strong foundation in both laboratory work and bioinformatics, De Masi has transitioned into leadership roles that emphasize the integration of data management with cutting-edge research in stem cell biology and systems biology. He serves as the course coordinator for a post-Masters program on Intellectual Property Rights and Value Creation in Biotechnology, while also contributing to the BioBusiness and Innovation Platform Master's program at Copenhagen Business School.
