Giuliano M. Dragone

Giuliano M. Dragone is a Senior Researcher at the Biomass Conversion and Bioprocess Technology (BCBT) group within the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). With over 20 years of experience in industrial biotechnology, he specializes in developing and optimizing sustainable processes that utilize microorganisms for various industrial applications. Dragone's extensive scientific background encompasses fermentation technology, biochemical engineering, and microbiology, with research interests focusing on microbial conversion, bioprocess development, and the valorization of by-products and CO2. He is actively involved in projects aimed at creating biorefinery systems for producing bio-based products and bioenergy. In addition to his research endeavors, Dragone coordinates a post-Masters course on Intellectual Property Rights and Value Creation in Biotechnology, contributing to the education and training of future leaders in the field.
