Jim Hamilton

Jim Hamilton is a Distinguished Faculty Fellow of Sales Management at Smith School of Business, Queen's University, bringing over two decades of executive experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship to academia. After earning his MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business (1995) and BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario (1990), he has built an impressive career spanning both corporate leadership and entrepreneurial ventures. As an educator, he teaches marketing strategy and sales management courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, while maintaining an active advisory practice serving major corporations including Bayer, Altana, IBM, and MDS Sciex. His entrepreneurial experience includes founding, mentoring, and investing in numerous startups over the past 20 years. His expertise in sales strategy, CRM, and reputation management has made him a valued consultant to organizations of all sizes, while his academic contributions have earned him recognition including the Distinguished Faculty Fellow of Sales Management award in 2017

Michael Cant is the Founder and CEO of BLAST Group Inc., bringing over 30 years of executive experience in strategy, marketing, and large-scale transformation programs. His career highlights include serving as head of Global Marketing for CGI Group ($20B+ market cap), where he transformed the corporate marketing function and established the company's first global intelligence centre in Bangalore, India. He has architected numerous successful global partnerships with industry giants like AT&T, BT, IBM, and Orange, while also leading major M&A transactions and transformation programs valued over $1 billion each. As a pioneer in digital transformation, he was instrumental in developing one of Europe's first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms and has consistently demonstrated expertise in combining creative strategy with advanced data analytics to drive business growth and innovation. His approach emphasizes maintaining the human dimension of business while leveraging technological advancement, making him a valued advisor in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.

Ryan Riordan

Ryan Riordan is a Professor and Distinguished Professor of Finance at Smith School of Business, Queen's University, where he serves as Research Director for the Institute for Sustainable Finance. His groundbreaking research combines financial technology analysis with climate risk assessment, demonstrating that carbon risk significantly impacts asset prices. His work has been published in leading academic journals and earned prestigious recognitions including the Bank of Canada Governor's Award and designation as a Globe and Mail Changemaker for his climate finance research. Before joining Smith, he held positions at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, following industry experience as a trader and risk manager at HSBC Trinkaus in Dusseldorf.
