Institut Mines-TelecomStéphane Sauvage serves as a distinguished Professor at the Center for Energy and Environment at IMT Nord Europe, where he has established himself as a leading expert in air quality research. As the head of the French node of ACTRIS, he directs a crucial distributed research infrastructure focused on studying short-lived atmospheric species that impact air quality and climate. His expertise particularly shines in the analysis of reactive trace gases, from their in-situ monitoring to source apportionment and understanding their atmospheric behavior across different scales. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to numerous influential research programs including MEGAPOLI, ECOCEM, TRANSEMED, CHARMEX, and LANDEX, resulting in more than 55 peer-reviewed publications. His work has been instrumental in advancing our understanding of atmospheric processes and their environmental impacts, while his leadership continues to shape the future of atmospheric research through innovative monitoring and analysis approaches.
