Sarah Meister has built an extraordinary career in photography curation and education, serving as Curator at The Museum of Modern Art from 2009 to 2021, before becoming Executive Director at Aperture. During her 25-year tenure at MoMA, she curated numerous groundbreaking exhibitions including "Fotoclubismo: Brazilian Modernist Photography" (2021), "Dorothea Lange: Words & Pictures" (2020), and "From Bauhaus to Buenos Aires: Grete Stern and Horacio Coppola" (2015). Her passion for photography began in sixth grade, leading to her studying art history at Princeton University under Peter Bunnell. She is best known for developing MoMA's highly successful online course "Seeing Through Photographs," which has reached over 230,000 learners globally since 2016
