Sandrine Vaton

Sandrine Vaton serves as Full Professor in the Computer Science department at IMT Atlantique, where she leads the Maths & Net research team at Lab-STICC laboratory. Her research focuses on machine learning applications for telecommunication networks and cyber-physical systems analysis, with particular emphasis on Markovian approaches to network performance optimization and cyber attack detection. Beyond her research responsibilities, she serves as director of the SPIN doctoral school (Engineering and Digital Sciences) and acts as gender equality adviser at IMT Atlantique. Her expertise spans stochastic modeling of telecommunication networks, network monitoring, and cybersecurity, combining theoretical approaches with practical applications in network analysis and protection.
