Peter Ulvskov

Prof. Peter Ulvskov is a professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the biological significance, biosynthesis, evolution, functionality, assembly, and industrial applications of plant cell wall polysaccharides. His research interests encompass bioinformatics, gene discovery, and the characterization of genes involved in cell wall metabolism, focusing on valuable traits in higher plants that depend on these polysaccharides. Additionally, he explores the use of transgenic plants in breeding to enhance desirable characteristics.
