Who is the programme for?

Required documentation includes class 12th transcripts, undergraduate degree, transcripts and semester marksheets, passport copies, statement of purpose, one letter of recommendation, resume, and proof of English proficiency. Next, applicants submit their Statement of Purpose to apply for scholarship consideration. Upon review by the Admissions Committee and qualification, an offer letter will be sent confirming admission to the course. Finally, applicants block their seat with an initial payment of INR 25,000 to enroll in the program. For IIIT Bangalore, applicants need a B.Eng/BTech/B.Sc/BCA in CS/IT with minimum 65% marks or 3 GPA, with maximum 3 backlogs accepted, and a minimum Grade B in all MATH and Programming subjects. For Northeastern University, applicants must achieve an aggregate score of 3.0 GPA or above in the Advanced Certificate Program in Data Science with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in each course, plus meet English proficiency requirements: TOEFL iBT >= 79 with writing portion of 20, IELTS >= 6.5 with no band lower than 6, PTE >= 53, or Duolingo >= 105.

Tuition Fee

The total tuition fee for the program consists of two components. The online Advanced Certificate Program in Data Science with IIIT Bangalore costs INR 5,25,000. The on-campus program at Northeastern University costs approximately USD 35,409 (approximately INR 29,38,947 at 1 USD = 83 INR). Additionally, students need to budget for living costs in the USA, which are approximately USD 20,000 per annum (approximately INR 16,60,000). For students who opt to transfer to the Portland campus, a scholarship of up to USD 6,000 (INR 4,98,000) is available through the upGrad-Northeastern Global Campus Scholarship.
