Adam C. Powell, Ph.D., is the President of Payer+Provider Syndicate, a consulting firm specializing in managed care and healthcare delivery. As a healthcare economist, Dr. Powell uses quantitative techniques to address issues related to healthcare technology, quality, and operations. His peer-reviewed research has focused on mHealth and high-cost medical care areas, while his extensive expertise in global health informatics has led to numerous lectures across Asia. In addition to his role at Payer+Provider, he is a Senior Partner at SSB Solutions and serves on editorial boards for Discover Health Systems and Journal of Participatory Medicine. Dr. Powell co-founded the Society for Digital Mental Health, driven by his interest in mental health apps. Dr. Cansu Canca, Director of Responsible AI Practice at the Institute for Experiential AI and a Research Associate Professor at Northeastern University's Department of Philosophy and Religion, specializes in applied ethics with a focus on artificial intelligence. As the founder of AI Ethics Lab, she developed the Puzzle-solving in Ethics (PiE) Model to integrate ethical considerations into AI innovation, which underpins the EAI's Responsible AI framework. His career began as a data scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he developed a communication planning application for deep-space missions, including Pioneer, Voyager, and Galileo. This expertise has allowed him to effectively translate complex technological solutions to healthcare challenges, focusing on prediction, scheduling, planning, resource allocation, and campaign management. Currently, he is the co-founder and Chief Science/Technology Officer at Decision Point Healthcare and also the founder and principal consultant at Synthesis Health Systems.
Dr. Curtis R. Carlson is the founder and CEO of Practice of Innovation, LLC, recognized for his pioneering work in value creation best practices and advocacy for innovation, education, and economic development. He served on President Obama’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and was the President and CEO of SRI International from 1998 to 2014, where he successfully transformed the organization from a long-term decline into a global model for high-value innovation, resulting in breakthroughs such as robotic surgery, HDTV, and Siri on the Apple iPhone. His teams received two Emmy Awards for outstanding technical achievement for their work in optimizing satellite broadcast image quality and developing HDTV. Gary Young is the Director of the Northeastern University Center for Health Policy and Healthcare Research and a Professor of Strategic Management and Healthcare Systems at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Prior to his role at Northeastern, Dr. Young served as chairman of the Department of Health Policy and Management at Boston University School of Public Health. His extensive background includes positions as a healthcare attorney and analyst for the federal government and a national healthcare consulting firm. Dr. Young's research primarily addresses organizational, managerial, and legal challenges in healthcare service delivery, and his work has been published in prominent journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, Health Affairs, and more. Nyaga is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business and a faculty associate at the Center for Health Policy and Healthcare Research. As the former Chief Actuary of BCBSMA, she played a pivotal role in Massachusetts healthcare reform, co-leading the development of the Alternative Quality Contract, a model that laid the foundation for today's ACOs. She also served on the 2006 Special Commission to study insurance markets. Most recently, she was CFO of Minuteman Health, overseeing its launch in MA and NH. Teodoro (Teo) Forcht Dagi serves as the Vice-Chair of Education and Professor of Neurosurgery at the Mayo School of Medicine and Science. He is a highly trained neurosurgeon with experience at Massachusetts General Hospital and in London. Dr. Dagi’s diverse background includes legal and ethical training as the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Fellow at Harvard and as a Senior Research Fellow at Georgetown University's Kennedy Institute of Ethics. He has lectured globally at law and medical schools and previously served as a law professor at Georgetown Law Center.
