Dr. Bibi van den Berg (1975) is an associate professor at Leiden University, where she serves as the Director of Education and heads the Cybersecurity Governance research group at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs, located in The Hague. She holds both an MA and a PhD in philosophy from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Expert in Counter-Terrorism Studies at Leiden University
Edwin Bakker is a professor of (Counter-)Terrorism Studies at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University and a fellow at the International Centre for Counter Terrorism – The Hague. Prior to his tenure at Leiden, he was a fellow at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael,’ where he led the Clingendael Security and Conflict Programme. Bakker graduated from Groningen University with a degree in Economic Geography and earned his PhD in 1997 with a thesis on minority conflicts in Slovakia and Hungary. His research interests encompass radicalization processes, jihadi terrorism, foreign fighters, unconventional security threats, and crisis/terrorism impact management
