After earning her M.Sc. in Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1986 and her Dr.Philos in Education from the University of Oslo in 2007, she has dedicated her career to understanding and improving educational experiences for diverse populations in Iceland. Her research portfolio includes groundbreaking work on immigrant children and families in Icelandic society, multicultural education reform, and university-level inclusion practices.
