Stembele Johnson serves as a Lecturer and Coordinator of the isiXhosa portfolio at Stellenbosch University's Language Centre, where she specializes in African languages, sociolinguistics, onomastics, and second-language teaching. With a master's degree in African Languages from Rhodes University and currently completing her PhD in African Languages focusing on onomastics, she brings deep expertise to her role. Her responsibilities include teaching isiXhosa to staff members and international students, managing isiXhosa translations and editing services, and promoting multilingualism within the university community. Through her work, she contributes significantly to the advancement of African language studies and cultural understanding at Stellenbosch University.
