Advanced C Programming

After completing "Rational Understanding of C Programs", we hope students can write simple C programs themselves. If you haven't acquired this ability yet, a possible reason is that you haven't done "enough training". Learning a programming language requires two things - "knowledge" and "skills". "Knowledge" can be conveyed through teaching, but "skills" can only be acquired through practice. Therefore, we encourage students to do more simple programming exercises during this iterative cycle of "Rational Understanding of C Programs" to acquire "skills".

This module teaches the basic concepts of functions in C programming, including definition methods, calling methods, parameter passing methods, and the concept of variable scope.

This module is a challenging aspect of C programming design. We'll explain the execution process of recursive calls to show that "recursive calls are not much different from ordinary function calls." On this basis, we'll decompose the recursive call process in detail to verify our knowledge. We'll then teach recursive function design paradigms to demonstrate the role and techniques of recursive functions. If you find this part difficult, don't be discouraged as over 80% of students initially experience the same difficulty. With practice, this feeling of difficulty will gradually disappear as you become more familiar with recursion.

This module explains the basic meanings of terms such as "pointer", "pointer variable", and "pointer to variable". Students must clearly distinguish these basic concepts to use them accurately in later courses. We'll also explain the important relationship between array names and pointers to the first element of an array, which students should thoroughly understand for ease of use in the future.

This module is a continuation of the previous lesson. We'll explain the relationship between pointers and strings, the meaning of two-dimensional array names (a minor difficulty that becomes simple if you remember the conclusions from the previous lesson), and the relationship between pointers and function parameters (a common situation in C programming).

Following the previous module, we'll continue to explain "pointers as function parameters" and "pointers as function return values." By the end of this module, you should have a comprehensive understanding of pointer applications in C programming. Consider creating a mind map to test your understanding of this important concept.

This module explains the basic concepts, definition methods, and usage methods of "structures", which greatly facilitate writing certain programs. On this basis, we'll introduce the basic concepts and creation methods of "linked lists". Note that linked lists will not be a focus for practice in this course, as they will be repeatedly discussed in subsequent courses.

This is the final lesson of the C programming course, a "transitional" course. We'll introduce the basic ideas of "object-oriented" programming methods. Through this brief introduction, we hope to give everyone a preliminary understanding of "object-oriented" software design methods to smoothly transition into subsequent courses.
