Rina Vertes, FSA, MAAA, brings nearly 30 years of experience in health insurance and healthcare strategy, working with insurance companies, providers, and healthcare vendors. As the former Chief Actuary of BCBSMA, she played a pivotal role in Massachusetts healthcare reform, co-leading the development of the Alternative Quality Contract, a model that laid the foundation for today's ACOs. She also served on the 2006 Special Commission to study insurance markets. Most recently, she was CFO of Minuteman Health, overseeing its launch in MA and NH. Currently, as President of Marjos Business Consulting, LLC, Vertes advises clients on managing risk and responding to CMS and private sector payment reforms, including ACOs and bundled payments. She also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Health Connector, appointed by Governor Charlie Baker.
