Master fundamental principles of structural dynamics and their applications in engineering and physics.
Master fundamental principles of structural dynamics and their applications in engineering and physics.
This comprehensive course explores the theoretical foundations of structural dynamics, bridging the gap between static and dynamic approaches in physics. Students learn essential concepts from Newtonian mechanics to advanced applications in structural analysis. The course covers fundamental theorems, including Newton's equivalence principle, König's theorems, and conservation laws, with emphasis on their practical applications in structural dynamics, robotics, and control systems. The curriculum provides both theoretical understanding and practical insights for analyzing complex dynamic systems.

Distinguished Aerospace Engineer and Space Systems Pioneer
Yves Gourinat brings extensive expertise in aerospace engineering, having spent seven years at Aerospatiale-Aircraft (now Airbus SAS) working on composite structures, followed by a decade as associate professor specializing in Launch Vehicle Dynamics and Human Spaceflight, including Soyuz-Mir training. In 2003, he established the nonlinear dynamics and shell-fluid interaction team at ISAE-SUPAERO, University of Toulouse, where he later served as Director of the Aeronautical-Astronautical Doctoral School and Deputy Director of the Clément Ader Institute. Since 2020, he has led the R&D group focused on future aircraft and biodynamics. His academic credentials include an ENSMA Engineering degree, a doctorate in Physics of Structures, and qualification as a Professor of Universities. His contributions to aerospace science encompass 162 internationally referenced scientific publications, earning him prestigious recognitions including the 2011 Frank J Malina Astronautics Medal from the International Astronautical Federation, appointment as Officer of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques, and election as Corresponding Member of the Air & Space Academy.
