Distinguished Aerospace Engineer and Space Propulsion Expert
Annafederica Urbano serves as a professor in the Space Advanced Concept Laboratory at ISAE SUPAERO's Department of Control and Design of Aerospace Vehicles (DCAS) since 2019. Her expertise spans space propulsion and transportation systems, with a Ph.D. from La Sapienza University of Rome focused on methane liquid rocket engines' regenerative cooling systems. Her research specializes in numerical simulation of reactive and two-phase flows in liquid rocket engines, encompassing supercritical combustion, thermoacoustic instabilities, nucleate boiling in micro-gravity, two-phase compressible flows, transcritical fluids, and heat transfer deterioration. Her significant contributions to the field are evidenced by her authorship of over 40 journal and conference papers, including 16 ranked-A publications, establishing her as a leading authority in aerospace engineering and rocket propulsion systems.
Distinguished Flight Test Engineer and Aerospace Education Expert
Eric Poquillon serves as an Experimental Flight Dynamics Professor at ISAE-SUPAERO, bringing over 20 years of expertise in flight testing and aircraft certification. His extensive career includes significant roles at DGA Essais en vol (French Flight Test Center), where he conducted certification flight tests for major transport aircraft manufacturers including Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier. He holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Paris, a Flight Test Engineer License from EPNER, and a Master's in Business Administration. At ISAE-SUPAERO, he teaches flight dynamics and flight testing methods for both piloted aircraft and micro UAVs while serving as Headmaster of the TAS-AERO Advanced Master Program. His expertise extends to developing MOOCs on flight mechanics through Coursera, making aerospace education accessible to a global audience. His contributions to aviation safety and regulation include significant work on FAR/JAR/CS regulations and coordination of JAA/EASA Flight Panel on major Airbus projects
