His innovative teaching methods have garnered significant recognition, including the 2010 "Best Online Course Award" for his Music Production Analysis course at Berklee Online. As an author, he wrote Turntable Technique: The Art of the DJ, the first book dedicated to teaching turntablism as a musical instrument. Stephen's influence extends globally through his extensive touring and his students' success in achieving multi-platinum records and Grammy awards across various genres. A multi-instrumentalist, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Mark O’Connor and Meshell Ndegeocello, while also contributing to studio design and film scoring projects at Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Ranch.
