Stephen Webber is an Emmy-winning composer and the Executive Director and Dean of Strategic Initiatives at BerkleeNYC, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of music education. With a prolific career that includes producing and engineering albums for a diverse array of artists, he recently collaborated with DJ Premier and Nas on the Re:Generations Music Project, a film featuring prominent figures like Erykah Badu and Skrillex. Stephen is also the composer and turntable soloist for the Stylus Symphony, a groundbreaking orchestral work that merges hip-hop, trip-hop, and dubstep. His innovative teaching methods have garnered significant recognition, including the 2010 "Best Online Course Award" for his Music Production Analysis course at Berklee Online. As an author, he wrote Turntable Technique: The Art of the DJ, the first book dedicated to teaching turntablism as a musical instrument. Stephen's influence extends globally through his extensive touring and his students' success in achieving multi-platinum records and Grammy awards across various genres. A multi-instrumentalist, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Mark O’Connor and Meshell Ndegeocello, while also contributing to studio design and film scoring projects at Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Ranch.
