Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University
Dr. Caroline Koh is an Associate Professor in the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Cambridge and her Ed.D. from the University of Durham, U.K. Her research spans various fields, including student motivation, teacher education, moral judgment development, pre-service teachers' perceptions of national education, and the effectiveness of simulation-based learning, e-portfolios, and flipped classroom approaches. In addition to publishing extensively in international journals, Dr. Koh has served as the editor for Motivation, Leadership and Curriculum Design and co-edited Motivation and Practice for the Classroom, contributing significantly to the discourse in education and pedagogy.
Professor of Materials Science
Tim White is a Professor of Materials Science at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, specializing in crystallography, electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. His research spans mineralogy, clean energy materials, environmental remediation, nuclear waste disposal, and catalysis, utilizing advanced synchrotron X-ray and neutron scattering techniques to study atomic-scale symmetry. He pioneered the OMNI suite for materials scientists, which evolved into MyScope, a national blended learning curriculum for microscopy and imaging. Tim also developed the comprehensive online course "Beauty, Form and Function: An Exploration of Symmetry," reflecting his commitment to innovative education.
