Zhao Genming has established himself as a distinguished epidemiologist at Fudan University, where he serves as Professor, doctoral supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Public Health Safety. His research focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, particularly influenza, and public health emergency response mechanisms. His significant contributions include leading the development of China's Acute Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Strategy for the Ministry of Health and heading the public health expert group for the World Bank loan/UK grant China Rural Health Reform and Development Project. His achievements have been recognized with the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Progress Award (third prize) and Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (third prize). As Director of the Epidemiology Teaching and Research Section at Fudan's School of Public Health and Standing Committee member of the Epidemiology Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, he continues to shape public health policy and research.
