Distinguished Scholar in Management Control and Sustainability
Yves De Rongé is a Full Professor at the Louvain School of Management (LSM) of UCLouvain, where he has been teaching since 1991 after completing his PhD in Applied Economics and MBA from the University of Chicago. As a member of the Louvain Research Institute in Management and Organizations (LouRIM), he leads groundbreaking research in management control, sustainability reporting, and circular economy. He currently holds the Chair in Regenerative Economics at UCLouvain, where he collaborates with CANDRIAM to advance research and teaching on circular economy principles. His expertise spans across financial and non-financial performance evaluation, with particular focus on environmental, social, and governance metrics. De Rongé has held various leadership positions, including serving as the former dean of the LSM, and maintains visiting professorships at multiple institutions including Université Saint Louis, KUL, and EDHEC. His current research focuses on developing circular business models, sustainability indicators, and performance measurement systems, while actively supervising doctoral research on circular economy implementation strategies. He has published extensively in leading journals and serves on several editorial boards, including Comptabilité Contrôle Audit and Finance Contrôle et Stratégie, while also directing the Comptabilité, Contrôle et Finance Series with De Boeck Editors.
