Yu Tianli

Professor Yu Tian-li obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1997. He furthered his studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned both a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2003 and 2006, respectively. After completing his education, he returned to Taiwan in 2007 to contribute his expertise to his alma mater, where he has been teaching ever since. Known for his approachable demeanor, Professor Yu interacts with students like a friendly senior, often infusing humor and insights about life and research into his conversations. He excels at designing diverse teaching methods tailored to students' backgrounds and adapts his teaching pace based on classroom feedback. His dedication to teaching has earned him high praise from students, making his courses highly sought after. Since returning to National Taiwan University, he has received the Excellent Teaching Award for five consecutive years and was honored with the Outstanding Teaching Award in 2014.
