Yu-Hsiang Cheng was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1987. He earned dual B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from National Taiwan University in 2011. During the fall semester of 2009, he participated in an exchange program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cheng obtained his M.S. degree in Photonics and Optoelectronics from National Taiwan University in 2013, followed by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2019. In the same year, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering at National Taiwan University as an assistant professor.
