Waseda UniversityProfessor Yoshio Miki serves as a Professor in the Faculty of Informatics at Kogakuin University, bringing extensive experience in both academic research and industry applications. After completing his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. from Kyoto University, he worked as a computer engineer in Hitachi Ltd.'s business planning section before joining Kogakuin University in 2015. His research spans hardware algorithms, big-data analysis, and management informatics, with particular focus on analyzing business activities, human behaviors, and industrial sensor data to improve operational efficiency. His significant contributions include developing prediction models for public transportation usage and high-speed data recovery circuits, as demonstrated in his work on bus user prediction based on environmental factors and the 2.5-Gb/s/ch data recovery circuit for the SFI-5 interface. He has also authored practical guides for business implementation of IoT technologies, bridging the gap between theoretical research and practical applications. His current work focuses on analyzing large-scale data sets to improve business operations and human behavior understanding through advanced computational methods.
