Yan Lianfu

Yan Lianfu is a professor and Vice Dean at the School of Humanities at Xi'an Jiaotong University, where he serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is responsible for the core general education course "Introduction to Chinese Philosophical Classics" and has played a significant role in promoting philosophical education in China. As an active member of various academic societies, including the National Society of the History of Western Philosophy and the Shaanxi Ethics Society, Yan contributes to the discourse on ethics and philosophy. His course "Introduction to Chinese and Foreign Philosophical Classics" was recognized as an excellent elective course in 2013 and later as a video resource sharing course in Shaanxi Province. With research interests that include comparative philosophy, particularly between Chinese and Western traditions, he has published over 30 academic papers in prominent journals, focusing on topics such as ethics and philosophical thought.
