Xu Wei, born in 1982 in Zhejiang Province, has established herself as a distinguished teacher at Fudan University's Art Education Center and an innovative digital media artist. Her academic journey includes bachelor's and master's degrees in digital media art from Communication University of China, followed by a Korean government scholarship-funded master's in multimedia imaging from Korea National University of Arts. Her creative work spans multiple formats, with particular focus on micro-films that blend philosophical concepts with digital imaging techniques. Her portfolio includes notable works such as "Old Love," "Actor," and "Dream & Home," characterized by their delicate visual style and exploration of themes like inheritance, individual life, and cosmic time-space relationships. Her achievements include multiple awards, notably the Best Actor Award at the 48 Hour International Film Festival and selections at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Currently teaching at Fudan while maintaining her directorial career, she continues to create works that combine surreal artistic spaces with humanistic narratives, establishing herself as a pioneering voice in digital media arts education and micro-film creation.
