Dr. Xie Yi, an associate professor at the School of Astronomy and Space Science at Nanjing University, earned his Ph.D. in Astronomy from the same institution in 2010. Supported by the China Scholarship Council, he also studied at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2008 to 2010. Since beginning his teaching career in 2011, Dr. Xie has led numerous research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the John Templeton Foundation. He actively contributes to the field, serving on the Astronomical Terminology Review Committee of the Chinese Astronomical Society and as an editorial board member for "Astronomy Enthusiast." Dr. Xie has received multiple awards for his academic papers and is also passionate about translating astronomy articles, with over 100 translations to his name, along with contributions to a popular science book.
