Inter-American Development BankWolfgang Greiner serves as Professor of Health Economics and Health Management at Bielefeld University's School of Public Health, where he leads major research projects in health economics. After earning his doctorate in economics from the University of Hannover, he has established himself as a leading voice in healthcare evaluation and policy. His significant roles include serving on the German Federal Government's Council of Experts for Health Care Developments since 2010, membership in the EuroQol Group since 1995, and editorship of the European Journal of Health Economics. Through his work as consultant for the European Commission and membership on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG), he continues to influence health policy while advancing research in health economics. His achievements have been recognized with numerous awards including the Austrian Prize for Health Economics, University of Hannover Science Prize, and Medvantis Prize for Public Health Research
