Wilfred Knol

Wilfred Knol is a researcher and teacher at the World Class Performance/Lean research group at HAN University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He earned his Master of Science in Technology Management with honors from the University of Groningen in 2011. Following his experience managing and advising on IT systems at a Dutch telecommunications company, he began his PhD research at Radboud University, focusing on the intersection of operations management and organizational behavior, particularly within lean production systems. His work has been published in various international peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences, with notable recognition including a nomination for best student paper at the 80th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in 2020. Wilfred's research also explores the synergy between smart industry technologies and lean management practices, and he has received grants to support his PhD research and additional projects. He actively shares his findings through keynotes, masterclasses, and webinars, contributing to advancements in operational efficiency and organizational design.
