Veronica Womack

Veronica Womack serves as Senior Project Manager of Inclusive Learning at Northwestern University, where she manages a multi-institution, federally-funded Inclusive STEM Teaching Project. Her academic credentials include both a B.S. and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Howard University, followed by postdoctoral training in cardiovascular epidemiology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. As an experienced facilitator, she develops and implements seminars on contemplative and critically conscious teaching, self-care, addressing microaggressions, and creating inclusive mentoring spaces. She has contributed significantly to the National Research Mentoring Network's Culturally Aware Mentoring Training, incorporating mindfulness, intersectionality, health behaviors, and 'brave space' development into workplace initiatives. Her research and commentaries have been published in several prestigious journals, including Psychosomatic Medicine, CBE—Life Sciences Education, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and TIME magazine. Her work continues to advance inclusive practices in academic and professional settings through evidence-based approaches to diversity, equity, and inclusion
