A Distinguished Mathematics Educator and Innovator at TU Delft

Delft University of TechnologyDr. Tom Vroegrijk is a full-time lecturer at TU Delft who has made significant contributions to mathematics education since joining the institution in 2016. His academic foundation was established at the University of Antwerp, where he completed his PhD in 2009, focusing on Bornological Structures in Approach Theory and Metrically generated Theories, followed by a teaching position there until 2016. At TU Delft, he has earned remarkable recognition for his teaching excellence, receiving the Best Teacher of the Year award twice (2018-2019 and 2021-2022) at the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty. Currently, he serves as the programme manager for PRIME (PRogramme of Innovation in Mathematics Education), a role he has held since 2021. His teaching portfolio at TU Delft includes essential mathematics courses such as Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics and Data Analysis, and Bachelor Projects.
