PhD Student Pioneering Cosmological Research at EPFL

École Polytechnique Fédérale de LausanneThibault Kuntzer is a PhD student in cosmology at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he focuses on data analysis and preparation for the European Space Agency's upcoming Euclid Satellite mission, which aims to investigate cosmological parameters. His research plays a vital role in understanding the universe's structure and expansion. In addition to his work with the Euclid mission, Kuntzer is part of the engineering team for the CHEOPS satellite, which is dedicated to characterizing exoplanets. He earned his Master’s degree in Physics with a Minor in Space Technologies from EPFL in 2013. As a teaching assistant, he contributes to the educational mission of the department by preparing exercises for the MOOC, helping to disseminate knowledge in cosmology and space science to a broader audience. Through his academic and research endeavors, Kuntzer is actively contributing to advancements in our understanding of the cosmos.
