Tania De Gasperis

Tania De Gasperis, MDes APF, combines her expertise as a multi-disciplinary designer and ethics researcher at the Montreal AI Ethics Institute with groundbreaking work in AI governance and responsible innovation. Her academic achievements include developing an Agile, Foresight-Informed AI Governance Framework at OCAD University's Adaptive Context Lab, while her entrepreneurial spirit has led to co-founding a Futures-Driven Innovation studio focused on responsible and inclusive practices. Her competitive excellence is demonstrated through multiple achievements, including winning the 2017 Hult at OCAD U competition, developing Bodmo at MIT Media Lab's Reality Virtually Hackathon 2019, and securing first place in the CryptoChicks Blockchain + AI hackathon's Business Track with Abstrakta. As a member of the Association of Professional Futurists and IEEE committee, De Gasperis continues to bridge theoretical research with practical applications, championing responsible and inclusive emerging technologies through her roles as a Y Combinator Startup School graduate and Imagination Catalyst Incubator alumni.
