Takaaki Umada

Takaaki Umada is the Director of FoundX at The University of Tokyo, where he has been actively involved in supporting startups and educating on entrepreneurship since 2019. He previously worked for Microsoft Japan and at Hongo Tech Garage at The University of Tokyo. Umada holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and has authored several books, including Paradoxical Startup Thinking (2017) and Environment Design for Successful Entrepreneurs (2019). His expertise lies in social implementation, entrepreneurship education, and smart city development.
