SDG AcademyDr. Stefano Pascucci is a distinguished social scientist serving as Professor in Sustainability and Circular Economy at the University of Exeter Business School, where he also heads the Department of Management. His academic journey includes a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Naples Federico II and post-doctoral work as a Marie Curie Fellow at Wageningen University. His research spans sustainability, organizational theory, innovation management, and value chain analysis, with particular focus on agribusiness and circular economy transitions. Prior to joining Exeter in 2016, he was Associate Professor at Wageningen University, where he developed expertise in agricultural economics and innovation. His scholarly impact is evidenced by numerous highly-cited publications in prestigious journals including the Journal of Cleaner Production and Journal of Business Ethics. As a member of the Institutional and Organizational Economics Academy and alumnus of the Ronald Coase Institute, he continues to shape understanding of sustainability transitions and circular economy implementation while serving on the editorial board of the British Food Journal. His current work examines the interplay between sustainability, collaborative innovation, and value chain configurations in agribusiness systems.
