Sonia Patricia Carreño Moreno combines her nursing expertise with specializations in childhood care and statistics, along with a Master's and PhD in Nursing from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. As coordinator of the innovative "Caring for Caregivers®" Program at the Faculty of Nursing, she has made significant contributions to nursing care for adults and children with cancer and their caregivers. Her research and program development is enriched by her personal experience as a caregiver to her mother during her cancer journey, bringing a unique perspective that combines professional expertise with firsthand understanding of the caregiver role. Her work focuses on developing nursing interventions that address both the practical and emotional needs of caregivers, while contributing to the advancement of nursing practice and research.
