Sohn, Hong-Gyoo

Hong-Gyoo Sohn is a full professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Yonsei University. He previously worked as a senior research associate on NASA's Radarsat Antarctic Mapping Project, earning the NASA Group Achievement Award. His expertise includes GIS and remote sensing for natural disaster modeling and damage identification. Sohn collaborates with local governments, international organizations like UNISDR and UNESCAP, and contributes to disaster risk reduction efforts, including the Sendai Framework.
