Silvia Solá Viñals

Silvia Solá Viñals is a dedicated educator at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where she specializes in language teaching methodologies and applied linguistics. She holds a BA in Modern Languages and an MSc in TESOL, and has extensive experience lecturing on English language teaching methods, discourse analysis, and public opinion across various universities in Latin America and Europe. Since joining the university's Servei de Llengües nine years ago, Silvia has contributed significantly to language education. She was involved in a TEMPUS Doctoral Program in Economics for the Western Balkan countries in 2012. Her current interests include Integrated Content and Language in Higher Education (ICLHE) and teacher training. Silvia teaches the course English for Teaching Purposes, which focuses on equipping educators with the skills necessary to teach effectively in English, particularly within higher education contexts. Her commitment to enhancing language education reflects her passion for fostering effective communication skills among future educators.
