Shobita Parthasarathy is a Professor of Public Policy and the Director of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on the intersection of science, technology, and public policy, particularly in relation to social equity and justice in innovation. She has authored influential works, including Building Genetic Medicine, which informed the 2013 U.S. Supreme Court case on gene patentability, and Patent Politics, which won the Robert K.
