Conservation Biology and Spatial Ecology Expert
Dr. Shirli Bar-David is a Senior Lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and heads the Conservation and Ecological Genetic Lab at the Mitrani Department of Desert Ecology. Her academic journey includes a B.Sc. in Life Sciences and M.Sc. in Genetics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, followed by a Ph.D. in Ecology from Tel-Aviv University, where she studied Persian fallow deer reintroduction. Her postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley focused on disease dynamics in wildlife populations, while at the University of Haifa she studied space use patterns of endangered fire salamanders.
