Shirley Moore, PhD, RN, FAA

Shirley Moore, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Edward J. and Louise Mellon Professor of Nursing and Associate Dean for Research at Case Western Reserve University. With degrees from Kent State and Case Western, she has been a leader in health professions education for over 20 years, pioneering the first quality improvement course in 1994. She has led several national projects on quality improvement and co-directs the VA Quality Scholars Program. Dr. Moore’s research focuses on cardiovascular disease risk reduction, and she directs an NIH-funded Center of Excellence in Self-Management Research. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and other prestigious organizations.
